Burj Al Arab

Burj al Arab

Project Description:

The “world’s most luxurious hotel” Burj al Arab has become an iconic, most-recognizable symbol for Dubai. Most commonly recognized as the sail building, Burj al Arab was in fact designed to resemble the sail of a dhow or an Arabian shipping vessel.

Burj Al Arab was built on a man-made island nearly 920 feet off the Jumeirah coast. The building was built with the intention of creating a symbol of Dubai. Construction began in 1994 and was completed in 1999. Nearly 3,000 companies, 250 designers and 3,5000 workman contributed to the hotel’s construction. The hotel has undergone several renovations since its opening.
