United States Embassy Manila Improvement Project
300,000 Square Feet
The United States Embassy Manila improvement project was one of the largest undertaken by the U.S. Department of State. It was part of the Embassy’s commitment to improve public services. It also reinforced close ties between the United States and the Republic of the Philippines.
The $119 million construction project included:
- a new Consular public services building
- larger offices
- a more modern medical clinic for veterans on the Seafront Compound.
The new public services building features large, indoor waiting areas and numerous service windows for passports and other applications. It will make the process of acquiring visas and other documents more efficient for the public. Increased service windows will expedite the process for American and Filipino citizens who qualify for Veterans Administration and Social Security Administration benefits.
Virtual Building Logistics collaborated on the United States Embassy Manila project with Forsspac (formerly Forssman Pacific). VBL provided full BIM services.
